At the 11th hour at the bottom of the ninth I hit a home run that got me back in the game and saved my life Mucosal Melanoma Speaker/Advocate cancer blog Mucosal Melanoma Survivor. More about this can be found on Chapter 18 of my Blog “TILs from the Chris”
My mother introduced me to Juice Plus in 2017. In 2018 I tripled up to bridge the gap and prime my system nutritionally. As a Mucosal Melanoma Survivor, I continue to promote and share Juice Plus and healthy living but now as an affiliate.
to get the most out of your nutrition, you should be eating 10 to 12 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. That can be extremely expensive and also time consuming going to the store regularly. Why not grow your own? The benefit pays for itself over and over again both nutritionally and monetarily
There's much to see out there and you never know unless you look. Figure out what you don’t want to do, and don’t do that But the only way to know is to try new things and then try some more.
This blog came about from a form of therapy for myself. I started writing about my story as a way to summarize my journey. The more I researched my specific story the more I come to find that I am one of the only one of my kind.
There is very little to nothing out there about anybody that had as much medical decline and metastasis and was able to bounce back as I did. Being that there was nothing to really compare me too, I wanted to start to and make a record so that way the next person would have something to compare them to. I was stage IV + Metastatic Malignant Anorectal Mucosal Melanoma and I had metastasis to the lungs, liver, kidneys, lymph nodes, and eventually the occipital lobe on my brain. My strong attitude and power of will kept me alive long enough until I got the TIL
The TILs treatment I got is not just revolutionary for people with my type of cancer but for other rare cancers as well. My hope is TILs will one day be used as a first line of defense instead of a last and that my story will inspire others to continue the fight and share their stories. Constantly evolving and putting out new content so more people understand that mucosal melanoma is not skin cancer. Please follow and subscribe like and share so we can spread awareness so that nobody has to go through the experience that I did. Hopefully we can make enough noise to make a difference.

The month of May is known as Melanoma Awareness Month, but for the state of Texas, it’s now full on OFFICIAL
I don’t know how to describe it but I believe that I survived Metastatic Mucosal Melanoma so I could share with others Who are fighting the same battle that I did and encourage everyone to keep moving forward.
Mucosal Melanoma is a very rare cancer and it does not fight by any known rules. I took a very unique approach to how I had to beat this disease.
I’m headed to Washington DC to spend my birthday meeting with lawmakers on Capitol Hill. I have meetings with representatives from the district that I live in from from North Texas including Keith Self along with meetings With representatives from Senator John Cornyn from my great state of Texas from where I live.
When I was diagnosed in 2018 I didn’t know anybody in my area that had currently been fighting Mucosal Melanoma. I currently now know at least 2 to 3 people within 20 to 30 minutes from where I live that are fighting this. There’s gotta be something that can be done and more than I can do.
Immediately following Advocacy Days with the MRF, I will be attending meetings with the Melanoma Research Alliance on March 8
travel to Washington DC to meet Wes legislator about PBM reform. I was able to share my story. Discuss about the change that’s needed.

Having a caretaker is extremely important in keeping good records of all your visits. Fortunately for me, my mom was able to attend all of my appointments and kept a good medical record so that I was able to keep focused and not worry about the logistics. I could look over at her if I had a question and conferred to the Notes which made things a lot easier. I recommend everybody have a good system of keeping notes when going to your doctor visits.
